What our experts think

This up to 100x magnification microscope allows children to explore different objects close up, nurturing their natural curiosity about the world around them. Investigating the features of different objects encourages further exploration and discussion about different scientific concepts, developing important vocabulary and observation skills.

The children had fun trying to think of different things to look at under the microscope, which sparked imagination and creativity. We found the samples that come with the microscope helpful for getting started. While the detail of the microscope focus was very clear, adult guidance was needed throughout to help with getting things in focus. However, children would be able to improve their ability to do this over time with practice.
