In this collection of apps children can explore the world of the Teletubbies! Click on the rabbits to make them hop, help the Teletubbies find missing items in Teletubbie land, answer the Tubbie phone, make Tubbie toast and custard, spin the windmill and play with the flowers.
Laa-Laa – Music and Dance
Click on Lala to interact. Children then choose a song for her to dance to, dress her up and drag shapes onto the music bar to change the instruments.
Tinky Winky – Shapes, numbers and colours
Children choose a bag (counting, shapes or colours), help Tinky Winky collect objects (reinforcing their counting), drag the correct shapes and colours into the bag.
Dipsy – Creativity
Help Dipsy decorate the shapes to make a hat using different patterns, stickers, pens, paints etc. When finished the shapes combine to make a hat! Children can take photos of their creations.
Po – Caring
Play with the clock and put Po to bed, feed her, wash her and take her for a scoot.

What our experts think
This is a colourful app using the much loved children’s characters with very engaging sounds and animations. Our testers could really relate to this app and loved the interactions with the characters; there was lots to explore that was similar to the TV programme, which the children loved. We liked the way the mathematical concepts were clearly shown and spoken (linking the concrete examples with the spoken word). There were lots of opportunities for the children to be creative – the making of Dipsy’s hat was a real favourite!
The Dipsy and Laa-Laa games are a great way to encourage musical and artistic self expression. Po’s game in particular is ideal for imaginative play which also enhances children’s creativity, while promoting nurturing behaviour too. The Tinky Winky game gets children to practise their counting skills and learn to recognise different shapes, building basic maths skills.
