What our experts think
This alphabet-themed, giant floor puzzle helps children to develop important logical thinking skills while identifying letters and animals. Puzzles are a great learning activity for children because to match the pieces together takes trial and error, logical thinking and problem solving. For example, when the pieces did not fit, the children were challenged to try something different, such as rotating them. This also helps them to develop visual processing skills and perseverance.
The alphabet theme reinforces children’s letter recognition and language skills and with adult help, they used the letters to support finding the correct pieces too. Children also enjoyed identifying the different animals and making the correct noises for each one.
