This versatile set encourages problem solving, early maths concepts, spatial awareness and hands-on creativity, making it a practical and engaging choice for children of different ages.

"This is a fun toy. I like all the different shapes." Boy, aged 4.

"I can make so much stuff with these blocks. This is so fun!" Girl, aged 6.
A good quality wooden block set with lots of different shapes and sizes for children to explore, from cubes and arches to cylinders and colourful gem blocks. Our testers played in lots of different ways: building houses and bridges, making mini obstacle courses for toy cars and figures, creating patterns to represent letters, and seeing who could build the tallest tower before it collapsed.

Problem solving was a key part of play, as children worked out how to build stable, balanced structures through trial and error. The set encouraged creativity, early maths skills like counting and recognising shapes, and kept children engaged for long periods of time with hands-on, focused play. They also used their imagination to make up stories and games around what they had made.

The wooden tray that comes as part of the set provides a flat surface for building and is also handy for storing the blocks when playtime is over. The picture guide on the tray helped children see where the blocks should be placed for storage and they enjoyed using it like a puzzle. This set was really popular with our testers, providing endless opportunities for creative play.
