This ice cream trolley is the ideal toy for encouraging imaginative role play. It was very popular with our testers and they enjoyed taking it in turns playing with it! Some of the children added sand and playdough, filling up with the cones with sand to serve their ‘ice creams’. This kind of imaginative play is great for teaching children about the world around them, as they act out and make sense of real-world scenarios. It also encourages them to interact with their peers rather than just playing alongside them, which helps develop key personal, social and emotional skills. The trolley also includes toy money which as well as extending the shop role play, encourages counting and number recognition.
