The Jelly Blox Princess Castle Set combines sensory exploration with open-ended construction, giving children plenty of opportunities to build, create and use their imagination. Our testers were drawn to the castle and princess theme, with the princess figures helping to inspire imaginative play. They also enjoyed squeezing the soft blocks, exploring the different fillings and choosing their favourite pieces, while the tactile nature of the set provided a calming activity for children who wanted a quieter moment.
As they played, children worked out how the different pieces could be connected and which blocks they needed for their creations. Building the castle encouraged attention to detail and careful judgement, while the open-ended design inspired children to make their own models, including houses, bridges, a giraffe and even an ice cream. They also had to adapt their approach as they discovered that the Jelly Blox were less stable than traditional building blocks, experimenting with different ways to connect and position the pieces.
The set encouraged children to make their own choices, express their preferences and communicate their ideas when building together. Overall, Jelly Blox offers a flexible combination of sensory play and creative construction, encouraging children to explore, experiment and adapt their ideas while developing confidence and imagination.
