It was great seeing the children use the Le Toy Van My First Tool Bench in their imaginative play, ‘fixing’ their doll’s house with the tools in the set. The tool bench introduces children to different tools and what they are used for, while strengthening fine and gross motor control by hitting with a hammer or using the screwdriver. We love how many different tools there are to explore!
Pretend play allows children to be creative and act out scenarios to help them make sense of the world (in this case, how tools work), and larger sets like this also encourage children to play together, supporting social skills such as sharing.
