What our experts think
From the moment they opened the box, our testers were eager to experiment with the magnetic blocks, constructing their own unique designs. The open-ended nature of the set sparked imagination, allowing children to explore different structures and how the pieces best fitted together.
While the set offers plenty of opportunities for creative play, many of the children found the booklet’s instructions too challenging, and the inclusion of designs requiring more than the 12 pieces provided, led to some disappointment when there weren’t enough pieces to complete them.
The purpose of the UV flashlight wasn’t immediately obvious to the children, but once they discovered that the pieces glowed in the dark after being exposed to the light, this became an exciting aspect of play. The spinner accessory was another highlight, adding an extra layer of fun as children watched their creations spin.
Overall, the set provided a stimulating and enjoyable experience. It blends creativity with problem solving seamlessly, encouraging children to experiment, think critically and explore different design possibilities. A good tool for sparking curiosity and hands-on discovery.
