Description

The world’s most iconic passenger vehicle. The instantly recognisable black cab has had its biggest transformation in 70 years. Now, as the green, electrically-powered TX taxi.

Brick by brick, this striking model kit has been carefully designed to guide children aged 6+ through the building process, as they build icons of the capital, no glue needed!

The new London Taxi includes 45 parts, moving wheels, and stickers – and both include detailed interiors, replicating vehicles as recognisable to children as they are to adults.

What our testers said

“It looks like a real London taxi.” – Boy aged 9

“I like putting the stickers on.” – Boy aged 8

What our experts think

Our testers approached assembling the taxi in different ways; some started building without looking at the instructions, but soon realised that studying the instructions was a better idea to ensure they were building correctly and saving them time in the long run. Some of the pieces were tricky for little fingers, but with perseverance, concentration, and some adult assistance they managed to finish the build and felt proud of themselves. Piecing the parts together is great for strengthening the muscles in the hands, wrists and arms, while also developing fine motor skills. Everyone was impressed with how realistic the finished model looked and enjoyed adding the finishing touches in the form of stickers to the headlights, number plates etc. Once the model was complete the fun wasn’t over, as the children enjoyed pushing the taxi around and incorporating it into their play.
